A laugh-out-loud, slice-of-life martial-arts fantasy about . . . farming????Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body.Arrogant Masters? Heavenly Tribulations? All that violence and bloodshed? Yeah, no thanks. I’m getting out of here.Farm life sounds pretty great. Tilling a field by hand is fun when you’ve got the strength of ten men—though maybe I shouldn’t have fed those Spirit Herbs to my pet rooster. I’m not used to seeing a chicken move with such grace . . . but Qi makes everything kind of wonky, so it’s probably fine.Instead of a lifetime of battle, my biggest concerns are building a house, the size of my harvest, and the way the girl from the nearby village glares at me when I tease her.A slow, simple, fulfilling life in a place where nothing exciting or out of the ordinary ever happens . . . right? The first volume of the blockbuster progression-fantasy series—with more than 16 million views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!
Really well written, engaging characters, and a good plot. I hope it doesn’t take too long for the next book to come out!
I decided to give this one a go, and it was well worth it. I love the idea of a reincarnator to a cultivator world going nope…not for me and the shenanigans that happen there after.
i love the complete turned on its head cultivation story created here, the story is just fantastic, and i greatly hope to see a continuation to it sooner rather than later, it was very fun, i couldn’t put it down.
This is not your typical cultivation story. Characters are well fleshed out & believable. Great first book from new author.
Super fantastic book! Will he insta buying the next one. Again, very different take. Both funny, heart warming, and more to come.
I liked the way CasualFarmer shows several different perspectives in this story. While it’s not always instantly clear who’s thoughts you’re reading, it becomes clear very quickly in a smooth transition. The pacing I felt was very well balanced, and the book stopped at a satisfying point. There is one plot hook that got dropped sadly and a few places the grammar could be better, but all in all it was worth the time spent reading it and helped offer some good perspective.
