No cheating and no cliffhanger!
There was nothing wrong with book. It was cute. There was nothing special about it and the characters were just meh. It was very unbelievable even for a small town kinda thing. It was good for something quick and mindless though and it didn’t have a bunch of repetition so I rated 3 instead of a 2.
The author built the townspeople characters more than the main characters. I just couldn’t get into or like the two main characters. They were blah.
Oh. My. Gosh!! Such a good book. The story was not what I was expecting. Fabulous character and story line. Funny, so many one liners. I didn’t want the book to end! I can’t wait to read more by this author.
This book has a very unique look at city living vs small town living. Harrison is a renowned surgeon who has poor people skills with his patients. He is drool worthy but he has relationship issues. Thanks to a dysfunctional family he faces an uphill battle making changes. Chloe also has relationship issues. She had a rough youth. It is amazing that Chloe turned out to be the fantastic, caring nurse, and vulnerable woman. They meet unexpectedly. A supposedly one night stand goes terribly wrong until it turns around and goes very right. The particulars and specifics of this story make this a good book.I received this book as an ARC from the author for my honest voluntary review.
Two doctors with emotional issues from crappy parents who find comfort in each other. Quirky towns people but not too crazy. A bit wordy at times but enjoyed overall.
Just a few little typos took the polish off this story for me. If they had have been sorted then I would have been more likely to give a higher score.I liked that this standalone actually read like a standalone, and I feel like enough of the story was revealed to leave me comfortable with the ending.I am glad that Dr Harrison Grant and Dr Chloe Munroe got their HEA.
