I lovee the book. I’d recommend it to anyone. And I’m ANGRY that book 2 doesn’t come out till next year!
This is my first read from this author and I throughly enjoyed it. The world building was engrossing and the trials were hair raising. I love how strong and innovative Cami is. The guys are super hot!!
First and foremost, I’ll mention that I did not finish this book. My review is a little unorthodox, but I really can’t get in to stories where the female lead is overly confident, cocky and honestly, downright unlikable. Right off the bat the writer tries to make her come across as tough, well versed in their world and afraid of nothing. It comes off as childish and the random cussing thrown in for fun is just weird to me. (And I cuss like a sailor)In the end, she was off-putting to the point I couldn’t finish. 3 stars for a benefit of the doubt, as ones who did finish seem to enjoy it.
Finished in one reading, so good. I absolutely love books that champion gender neutrality and same sex romantic situations. It is well written, story line is original and kept me intrigued. I am disappointed I have to wait so long for book 2, although to be fair I knew if I enjoyed this book it would be a bit of a wait. I didn’t anticipate I’d enjoy it as much as I did however. I have so many books in line to read but will be choosing more of this authors work.
Oh my biscuits and gravy what a cliff! Don’t even get me started on the hot fae, fanning myself over here.
