When her sister, Pippa, goes missing, Nella Freling tells her boss she’s taking time off from her job as a research librarian, hops in her sensible van, and heads south of the border to Montana. However, local police don’t seem too concerned about a missing woman living in her motorhome. So Nella will have to look for Pippa by herself, unless she can convince a highly recommended tracker to help her, but sadly the rude and angry cowboy won’t even listen to her at first. But Nella can be persuasive. The first time High Mountain Tracker, Fletch Boone, laid eyes on Nella, her ass was stuck in his grocery cart. The next time was at the ranch; she was wearing mud, head to toe. But when he catches sight of her a third time, hanging off a cliff, he can’t turn his back again. What Nella lacks in survival skills she makes up for in sheer determination. Unfortunately, neither of those is enough protection when bullets start flying.Fletch has no choice but to jump in before the woman gets herself killed. And that would be a damn shame.
This is the second in high mountain trackers series where Nella finally convinces Fletch to help her on her quest. Another page turner that I enjoyed.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This story has action, suspense, danger and passion that keeps you reading and waiting for the trouble to happen. Nella ‘s sister is missing she goes to Fletcher for help looking for her. The sisters hurt, amnesia, shots fired, kidnapping and Fire. Keep reading.
The second in this series is just as good as the first! But look out the twists and turns will surprise you!
Antonella Freling was sure something had happened to her sister when she didn’t show up for her visit and could not be reached. When she was unable to get any answers from the authorities in the Montana town she had last been seen in, Nella sets out to find her. The tracker she had been referred to did not answer her calls, and when she finally met up with him they did not hit it off well. So she decided to do her own investigating. Fletch wanted to go hunting for a ram, not look for a missing person who had probably just changed her plans. But while rescuing Nella from one of her accidents, she finds proof her sister had indeed gone missing there. This is a good book and I enjoyed it very much. It has a mystery to solve, an impetuous heroine and a theft ring to catch. Plus the unexpected perk of a romance. I am glad to recommend it.I received an arc copy and am leaving a voluntary review.
The story was written from both lead’s perspective, and that was unusual for me, but interesting. Good storyline.
I felt like there was always something going on in this book. There was never a dull moment. Nella is a strong and caring character. She never stops and Fletch is a match for her strong will. He is always there to save her. Great story.I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a complimentary copy.
