GraysonLife has been easy for me. Top of my class. Star quarterback of the football team. Every guy wants to be my friend, and every girl wants to date me.Yeah, life is pretty sweet.Except it’s not. It’s all fake. School comes too easy for me, and I’m bored. Football isn’t fun anymore. The guys I hang out with aren’t really my friends. And the girls? I don’t want to date them. The only one I want to date . . . He’s a little bit . . . hostile.RhettLife has never been easy for me. A foster kid, lucky enough to be adopted as a teen but who still can’t find a way to be happy.I have two best friends who are amazing and supportive, and yet, I can’t bring myself to tell them my biggest secret.Parents who pay for a private school a kid like me could never have dreamed of . . . that I hate.It feels all wrong when it should feel right. And I guess . . . that’s made me nothing but . . . hostile.
This book was so good. Grayson and Rhett went to the same school. Grayson was attracted to Rhett. They started to become friends which led to more. I really like them together.
Well written, great characters and educational. I really needed the book to be longer. I loved the characters so much I just needed more. I hope the author will consider writing a sequel and make it the book nice and long! She mentioned that another book may come for Fredrick. I hope it’s a mm book and is much longer than this one. Pretty please!
This was a good story, but didn’t feel the same connection to the characters as I have with some of her other books. The overall story is good and plotted out nicely. It’s worth a read.
I love Rhett and Grayson. Their story is something else. Grayson is very much the pursuer in the relationship from beginning to end. Rhett has a lot of trust issues as a result of growing up in the foster care system.Overall it’s an amazing story and should most definitely be read. I will say that I didn’t like that the issues in Graysons life were essentially pushed to the background, but he’s still an incredible character.
I absolutely LOVED this book. I read it all in one day on my kindle and then had to buy the actual book because I loved it that much. The characters are so beautifully written. I love Rhett and Grayson!!
This book really had me in my feelings. Even though I’m not a foster kid I know what it’s like to feel like you don’t fit in. constantly wondering where you’re life is gonna end up or whom you are going to become. That feeling of wanting to step out into the world on your own and find yourself is something you can never explain at least not in words.Seeing Rhett try to find himself and make it on his own really spoke to me, it reminded me of the young 18-year-old me who just wanted to be free and find myself. He’s this broody teenager who just wants to be left alone and doesn’t feel like he deserves any love. And it truly broke my heart to see his feelings about himself because everyone deserves to be loved no matter who the person is.Grayson is a star football player at school who falls head over heels for Rhett and is determined to show him that he can be loved even with his flaws. This book touches on Homophobia and how much people can view others differently just based on their sexuality. Even though Grayson isn’t afraid to admit that he is Bi, he is still afraid to come out and say it.Rhett is someone who finds himself confused with the feelings he is having towards Grayson, to him, he’s always been straight but the way he feels for him tells another story and he tries to embrace it. Both characters are afraid to tell their loved ones for fear of being treated differently and they are justified in feeling that way. We don’t live in the most accepting world, and it is truly heartbreaking. But watching these two conquer it together is everything. The love they both have for each other is truly heartwarming I couldn’t get enough. These two truly deserved one another and I couldn’t be happier. This book was amazing and just filled my heart with love. I just couldn’t get enough of it and I can’t wait to read about fletcher I just know it’s going to be good.
