Unfortunately for them, someone isn’t happy they’re in town…Bring the big guns—we’ll have some fun on the bayou!Strange stories of a local half-gator/half-man, a weird ritual at a voodoo queen’s grave, and a tea room filled with taxidermy make Who Dat seem like it’s another planet, but Merry’s gut tells her there’s something unnervingly familiar about this town. Southern hospitality gives way to suspicion when two people are murdered and Merry was the last to see them alive. Is the killer really a vampire, like the police believe? What is their Bed and Breakfast host hiding in the locked third floor? Girl Scouts, the CIA, and the Yakuza… what could possibly go wrong?”~ Fresh Fiction”Darkly funny and wildly over the top, this mystery answers the burning question, ‘Do assassin skills and Girl Scout merit badges mix…?'”~ RT BOOKreviews”Mixing a deadly sense of humor and plenty of sexy sizzle, Leslie Langtry creates a brilliantly original, laughter-rich mix of contemporary romance and suspense.”~ Chicago Tribune”Langtry gets the fun started from page one.”~ Publisher’s Weekly
Okay, I really enjoyed this book! Some of the troop have moved away, but the rest visit their sister City where Mayor Ava meets Mayor Robby, Betty is her usual self (though not quite as scary) , and there are tours and cake parties. The girl scout characters are a stitch, the people of Who Dat are appropriately odd, and there’s lot of action. And Princess Pelican and a pony. The was one thread I didn’t see tied up, and it was one I thought was important. Be interesting to see if it’s picked up in the next book.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has a entire day to sit and relax, because you won’t be able to put the book down until the very end. Love Betty and rest of the troop!
Enjoyed this book so much. Read it on vacation and just made me smile the entire plane ride. Can’t wait for the next book.
The whole story was whirl winded! I had trouble keeping up with the speed of the story. The adventure of a girl scout troop vs spies. All in all, a delightful story.
