The leading scorer on the Reapers has the unspeakable yips…and it’s me.The second my NHL legend of a father appears, I can’t shoot to save my life. And my mistakes might cost my team our playoff spot.No pre-game superstition can fix it—I’m broken.Adding to the pressure, my little sister’s best friend just became my roommate for the next five months. Evangeline Walsh. The curvy photographer with a heart of gold. She’s in my kitchen, baking treats as scrumptious as her body. She’s in my living room, torturing me with pajama bottoms that beg to be peeled off.And when we cross that line, we discover she’s also my cure. She’s my newest pre-game ritual, but it’s so much more than that.I can’t keep my hands off her, and each time leaves me craving more. But my life plays out in front of the camera, and Evie wants to stay behind the lens. When my past comes back to bite us, I’ll have to risk everything to show her she’s not just a lucky charm—She’s my endgame.
I loved reading this series and sad that they’ve ended. I think Asher, Mila, and all the other’s need their stories told also.If you decide to read these please make sure to start with the Seattle Shark series first because they’re sequential.Enjoy !
I wasn’t overly excited about this book but Maxim blew me away! I love him so much more that expected. A great addition to the reaper family!

This long awaited book was totally worth it! Evie has always been in love with her best friend’s big brother, but he’s never seen her as more than his sister’s friend. Until she has to stay with him for a few months. While this book has some tried and true tropes, like friends to lovers and forced proximity, it’s unique in the unfolding.Max battles his demons daily, and Evie has to combat her deep rooted insecurities. Together they can soothe one another’s hurts, but only if they’re willing to open up and let the other in.A few trigger warning should come with this book, like suggestion of domestic violence and child abuse. So anyone who is sensitive to those triggers please be aware. The reason I can’t give this a 5 star is technical. This book (and if I’m being honest, the last three in this series) has had a distinct lack of an editors touch. There’s an abundance of typos and grammar issues, including sentences that are missing a word to make sense. The story, characters, pacing, and plot are all golden and at the highest level! Exactly what I expect and crave in a Whiskey novel. But those little errors and lack of polish yank you out of the story and frustrate the discerning reader.I am very very very hopeful we’re going to get a billionaire spin-off series! I need to see Silas brought to his knees, along with Bristol’s brother Crossland and Weston! Even Gareth has me intrigued.

Oh! My! Goodness!!!! This latest instalment of the Carolina Reapers series is absolutely phenomenal! Maxim and Evie’s story has been a long time coming. It was EVERYTHING you hoped for with these 2. There was some minor inner-relationship drama during which a few tears were shed but overall-pretty low drama. The characters are amazing and I loved how we got to catch up with some of our old friends. I really enjoyed how this one delved into the psyche of a sports legacy and those pressures. There isn’t one thing I didn’t love about this book. The super spicy NSFW scenes and sweet HEA were awesome!
