Murder on the Sea Witch By Irina Shapiro
Murder on the Sea Witch: A Redmond and Haze Mystery Book 7 (Redmond and Haze Mysteries) By Irina Shapiro
Book/Novel Author: Irina Shapiro
Book/Novel Title: Murder on the Sea Witch
When the body of a renowned British archeologist is found inside a sarcophagus he was bringing back from a dig in Egypt, Redmond and Haze must determine who aboard the Sea Witch had reason to want him dead. The method of murder suggests it was someone familiar with the funerary rites of the Ancient Egyptians, casting suspicion on members of the expedition, but there were others aboard the vessel who might have harbored a grudge against Blake Upton for reasons unconnected to the dig.Confronted with professional jealousy, affairs of the heart, simmering resentment, and corrosive blame, Redmond and Haze must solve the case before the killer strikes again.
Every book I have read by this author, has been quite enjoyable. I love the characters, they make me want to read more about their lives. Strongly suggest you read them in order as they move through their adventures. However if you only read one you’ll still have a good time. Well done thank you
I thought I had guessed ahead of time about the murder but I was so wrong! It is really a good read but a very surprising ending, quite surprising! Well written!
As always Iriina Shapiro comes through with a good read to hold the suspense. Love the twists of who did it and guessing wrong. Looking forward to her next book as always, never disappointed.
I enjoy the Redmond and Haze Mystery Series. I have read them all. I am also a book reader rather than Kindle. So I very much enjoy the large paperback version of these books.
To me MURDER ON THE SEA WITCH is the strongest book in the Redmond and Haze series. Early on the books were pretty lightweight and I found myself barely engaged. (The romancing being particularly saccharine and predictable.) In this book though romance becomes of secondary importance and the result is a pretty solid book. The plotting is good and the characters are interesting. The good doctor still comes off a little flat, but this works out well when contrasted to the suspects and his allies. Can’t wait for the next book.
