Two predators collide with unbridled passion in this intoxicating GhostWalker novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan.   Jonas “Smoke” Harper has watched his brothers find their perfect mates, never imagining he’d actually meet someone who complements every part of him—even the monster that lurks within. But his instant connection with Camellia goes far beyond wanting the intelligent, beautiful, and lethal woman in his bed. They are two parts of a whole, linked to each other and to a larger network that exists everywhere around them.   Camellia has lived on her own for a long time, relying on her unique psychic abilities to keep her safe. She knows that Jonas was literally made for her, and that makes their addictive connection more dangerous than a thousand enhanced super soldiers. Once the larger threat looming over them is dealt with she’s going to get far away as fast as she can. Life has taught her that the only one she can truly trust is herself.   Jonas can sense Camellia is going to run—and the hunter inside doesn’t want to let go. Not when he knows how good they’ll be together. So he’ll just have to use all of his considerable skills to convince her to stay….
I have been reading CF for a very long time. I loved the Carpathians, the leopard shifter series, but the GW series has been my favorite. Not any more. I’ll not buy another GW book. The lack of new storyline is so disappointing. Formula books work for a reason but there has to be some originality. This one was so bad I couldn’t finish it. I made it about a third of the way through. Don’t waste your money.
I have favorite authors and Christine Feehan caught me on her first “Dark” book. I have been ravenously reading them ever since. I don’t know how many she has written, but I know I have read all of them at least once! I also read all of her other series and when another of her books (of any series) is released, I buy it, then inhale it!

They have been ghost walkers for years and as they’ve matured they have discovered more about Whitney’s little gifts. The moving story reunites readers with Team One, the original gift recipients.I have been a fan of this series since the beginning and always look forward to learning about Whitney’s attempts to match skills to create partners in the field. This release felt very sparse on dialog and heavy on repetitive explanations. I would really liked to have seen more interaction with Team One and especially with the wives.
I was happy for a return to Team one with this installment of the Ghost walkers. I love the references to other members from the previous books as well as other teams and as always it leaves me wanting more! I have read every book Christine Feehan has written and every one is fantastic. There are series I prefer over others, but I own them all and will periodically go back and re-read them. I especially like the plot twists and the fact that not every couple had a “happily ever after”. They had struggles and issues to overcome that didn’t end with their books or their storyline. I can’t wait to see what the next one brings!
Lately, Christine has been writing stories with silly, whiny women and it’s been hard to read them. This story was a big improvement. The heroine was soft AND strong, the enhancements she and the hero had were interestingly different and all in all, the story was a keeper.
