Book/Novel Title: Psycho Shifters
Fight like a girl…or a shifter of lore. After growing up with nothing, I’ve finally found my path to freedom: I’m a shifter, an elite soldier who transforms into a monster. All I have to do is survive.I didn’t count on my three 6’5 roommates. Covered in tattoos, jeweled, and horned, these are like no men I’ve ever dealt with before. They don’t think I belong. They don’t think I’m strong enough for war. They don’t think I can fight.I’m about to prove them wrong. The only problem, can I survive them discovering the secrets of my past? In the battle for life and death, everyone is so much more than they seem.Jax, Ascher, and Cobra are going to be devastated when they discover my truth…just wait until they see my shifted form.
I loved the characters and how the FMC was a smart ass who learned to protect herself. The guys were easy to get hooked on too.
This omegaverse is unlike any I’ve previously read. And I loved every minute. Sadie thought she was a null-shifter in the shifter realm until she goes to the sacred lake to be tested. From there she gets thrown into the fae war that’s been going on for decades; where she meets the alpha’s Jax, Cobra, and Ascher along with other beta’s, none of whom believe for a minute she’s an alpha. This book was packed with lots of detail, action, and sexual tension. For me the book did move pretty quick which I actually really liked because I never felt like this book dragged at any point. Even if they weren’t fighting we were learning something new either about her, the other alphas, the realm or other characters. Although it is mostly told from Sadie’s POV, we do get the guys POV from time to time. I did not want to put this book down and I devoured it in just a few days. Although I had a feeling about a few things, this book was still able to surprise me. We do find out a lot of answers, but it does end in a cliffhanger that makes you want MORE!!The reason I say this omegaverse is unlike any I’ve read is because it is not a sweet omegaverse. Out of all the alpha’s Jax is the most caring towards Sadie. Cobra and Ascher are definitely psycho a-holes (hence the title psycho shifters lol) and Jasmine does warn this is not your typical omegaverse in the very beginning of her book. If you are looking for a sweetverse…well this first book probably won’t be for you. Jasmine does call this a cruel shfiterverse and I think that perfectly explains the world she’s created.Although this book is filled to the brim with sexual tension, I would rate it low on the spicy scale. As far as spicy scenes go, there are a few, which makes me hope the spice gets ramped up even more in book 2. If heavy sexual tension and low smut scenes are your jam, then I think you’d like this book. This book does contain an MM scene and ugh, I loved every minute of that!! I loved this debut novel, from the world, the characters, the humor, the spice and abundance of sexual tension…I cannot wait to see what else is in store for us!!
The story so far is awesome. I love the characters and can not wait for the next one. This author has my attention.
What a ride? Lots of excitement and sexual tension. I love the story line and couldn’t wait to find out more.I knew Sadie was bad ass and I love her formAs for the sexual tension it was tapered and not raunchyAlso I do love a true cliffhanger!!!!
For those who spoke negative of this book, they were misleading. I almost did not read it because I was worried it would be terrible. It wasn’t! As far as Sadie appearing strong and then weak…there is a reason for that. Since this is the first book, there is nothing that explains it in detail, but I believe in future books, it will all be explained. Also, there is M/M, which I am personally not into, but it was easy enough to skim through those parts and still enjoy the book. I can’t wait to read the next one!
I can’t explain in words how good this book is. I’m so happy about it, that I read it twice. Finally we have a Bad Ass Alpha that just blows these men away. But she’s also not stuck up and very good hearted. The book is funny too.
