Summary

Christi Reece is desperate. The one-time golden girl’s life has tarnished, and a cascade of setbacks has left her reeling. She needs help, and she’s certain Jack Colby is in a position to provide it. When she shows up in Hope Harbor, however, Jack wants nothing to do with the woman who betrayed him. He’s built a new life on the Oregon coast–and there’s no room in it for Christi, even after she takes refuge in a charming but mysterious cottage nearby. Yet it soon becomes apparent his opinion of her may need revising . . . especially when he ends up needing her help. Can these two hurting souls make peace with their past and open their hearts to a new beginning? Come home to Hope Harbor–where hearts heal . . . and love blooms.Bestselling and award-winning author Irene Hannon delivers another heartwarming and romantic story set in the enchanting seaside community of Hope Harbor that is loved by readers the world over. Once you visit, you’ll never want to leave.
Revisiting Hope Harbor,Oregon is such a delight. It is a true homecoming to this charming coastal town where the characters are always welcoming and more than willing to lend a hand or an ear when needed.Christi Reece is a woman out of options, owing money she doesn’t have she desperately tracks down a man from her past sure he can help her.Author Jack Colby has made a new start, far away of the humiliation caused to him by Christi in what feels like a lifetime ago. Getting a shock he realizes she has tracked him down here and he wants no parts of her or the past memories of their failed romance. What ensues is a surprise to both of them I’d say. She unfortunately has to stay in town longer than she had wanted to.I really enjoyed making the reconnection with the characters from previous books, especially the “taco guy” who always has a kind word and good advice to pass along.Christi wants Jack to forgive her for the past and for him to put his trust in her. As he starts to rewarm to her he enjoys her company more and more but will it lead to a romantic reconnection? So heartwarming, I enjoyed seeing down on her luck Christi get another chance at a better life. There was a bit of a mystery surrounding an unfinished cottage and this had a fitting resolution as well. Superb book and I look forward to more books in this warm and engaging series.Pub Date 05 Apr 2022I was given a complimentary copy of this book .All opinions expressed are my own.
Very quick shipping and really good packaging. I love Irene Hannon’s writing and I am really excited to read this book. I have never been disappointed. I’m very happy with my purchase.
Sea Glass CottageHope Harbor #8By Irene HannonChristi Reece never thought she’d track down the man whose heart she so cruelly broke more than a decade ago and beg for his help. Well, maybe not beg but ask until she has no hope of a positive reply. But Christi owes a debt she wants and needs to repay. But Jack Colby isn’t about to be taken in by Christi’s manipulative ways again. He’s determined to say NO but waivers when she’s standing just in front of him. When Christi is offered a chance to make Hope Harbor her new home she can’t say yes, or can she? Is this the answer to her prayers? Soon Christi has much to offer Hope Harbor and its residents. Now if only she can get Jack to see that she’s not the same selfish, self-serving, spoiled, little-rich-girl who played him false.Soon Jack is faced with a situation he never expected and he is literally clueless about how to handle the situation. And when it goes from bad to worse, somehow Christi manages to be just where she needs to be to help him out. Which opens the door to be of further assistance to Jack when he most needs it. Could this be the chance Christi needs to show Jack that change for the better is possible?Sea Glass Cottage is the eighth Hope Harbor book that once again adds even more charm to this Oregon coastal town. Each new book includes scenes with Charley, Floyd, and Gladys, who I might add are my favorite Hope Harbor residents! And this time each imparts valuable advice (or examples in the case of Floyd and Gladys) to others in this coastal town – lessons that were badly needed. This is a small town (by some standards) that is filled with people who make mistakes and grow from the experience. No one is perfect, though some would love to present that facade to the world. This is a place you will enjoy visiting again and again. So sit back and spend some quality time in a place you wouldn’t mind calling home.I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations but that I provide my honest opinion – all thoughts expressed are my own.
Sea Glass Cottage is a wonderful addition to the series. A newcomer, Christy, finds hope and purpose through a job offer and a place to stay after finding shelter for the night. She travelled to Hope Harbor with a plan to help her friend out by seeking Jack with an unexpected request. Charlie and his tacos add the informal opportunity for Noah, Steve, and Beth to get acquainted and find healing. Enjoy this multi-faceted plot of second chances seasoned with the characters you have come to love.
Noah finally found a family that wanted him and needed him. A little girl found healing, and relationships were reconciled.
