Summary

The day I first laid eyes on Abby Boyer, I knew she was the one. The girl I would marry and spend the rest of my life with, and I vowed to do everything I could to make her happy. There was just one problem, I couldn’t make her happy during one of the darkest moments of our marriage. No matter how hard I tried, my love for her wasn’t enough to make her stay.I’ve spent the last two years of my life trying to forget how much I still loved her.Wouldn’t you know it, now that I finally managed to move on, Abby shows back up in Boggy Creek. Out of the blue. Here to stay. They say time heals all wounds—well, two years wasn’t enough time to cover up the scars of our broken past because I still feel the pain like it was yesterday. My wounds are still healing, and not even my love for Abby can fix us…but will that love allow me to forgive her and finally move on?    For best reading results, it is recommended you read the books in order. 1. The Butterfly Effect 2. Playing with Words 3. She’s the One 4. Surrender to Me 5. Hearts in Motion 6. Looking for You
I really love the magical place that is Boggy Creek and all the friendships and families whose lives are intertwined…. And as much as I love that Abby and Bishop worked out their differences, it felt a little rushed. Having left Bishop and divorced him with no clear explanation, Abby didn’t have to grovel or earn his trust again after two years apart … just seemed a little too easy. The tree farm and the idyllic Christmas backdrop made for a beautiful “Hallmark” kinda story, and I did love that.
She’s the One by Kelly Elliott is one angsty, Heartwarming, full of hope and emotional read. I Highly Recommend all Readers to grab this book now. Kelly Elliott writing keeps you hooked to the story.
These books just keep getting better and better! I just love a second chance romance, especially when the couple divorces, but find their way back to each other. The trauma of Abby & Bishop’s miscarriage caused Abby to totally push Bishop out and away leaving him completely in the dark. She blamed herself and didn’t handle things right, asking for a divorce in the process. I’m not going to lie, Abs made me angry. Totally shutting down and not communicating with Bishop made me want to slap her, but the healing journey kinda made up for it. This story was full of all the emotions. I felt Bishop’s anger was totally justified. I LOVED seeing them find their way back together though. I loved their fiery passion, and how they heated up the bedsheets too. I love Boggy Creek. I love the girl gang, and had the immense pleasure of sensitivity/beta reading for Candace’s character, who is a Black woman. Her over night hair routine is totally mine—just saying. “I don’t want to date. I long to live my life with you. To be your wife, help you on the farm, wake up in your arms, and fall asleep on your chest. I want to…” Her voice cracked, and she sniffled before she went on. “I want to tell you every single day that I love you, and only you. And more than anything, my dream is to have a family with you. I’m sorry it took me so long to see the love we share will help overcome anything, together.”
I love reading about these characters from Boggy Creek! The characters are interesting and entertaining. This series has been dealing with a lot of mental health issues and I enjoy reading how the characters are facing their difficulties and dealing with them. Finding their happy ever afters. Can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series.
Also, the men strong enough to love them for their strength. Well written and page turner. Thank you, once again.
This book had me hooked from the beginning! The characters and their story was so raw and relatable and adorable! Love this series. Can’t wait to see what happens next! Highly recommend.
