When Hoon was first a character in the DCI Logan series I didn’t really like him. Crass, constantly drunk, suspected of corruption, definitely not a nice guy. However, as the series evolved, so did Hoon. Under all the violence, cursing, and hatred for his fellow man there is a decent guy. If that isn’t enough reason to read these books, read them for the inventive vulgarities and the humor.
Excellent main character with an interesting plot that really draws you in. I would recommend reading the series in order for optimum understanding, but not essential.
If the next Robert Noon books as good as the first 2 and as good as the DCI Logan books you will not need to hunt for any other books to read. They are all engaging at the first word and you really just don’t want to put it down.
Good story, awesome narration. I laugh out loud so much listening to this book. I would definitely recommend this book.
As a big fan of Jack Logan, it is hard to find the courage to like Bob Hoon. But this book surprised me by bringing up feelings of admiration for the foul mouthed and mercurial ex copper. Thoroughly enjoyable read about the depravity facing him in his quest.
