The Boss’s New Pet By Jenna Rose
Book/Novel Author: Jenna Rose
Book/Novel Title: The Boss’s New Pet
When Penny first stepped into the towering offices of Crown Enterprises, the only thing she knew was that her new boss, the terrifying Jude Crown, was fiercely handsome and went through secretaries faster than a lion at a steak buffet. But it’s been a week now and Penny has learned a lot. She’s learned that Jude likes her to wear skirts and heels to work, that he likes her hair up instead of down, and that if a limo shows up at 2 am to collect her from her Brooklyn apartment to take her to his townhouse on the Upper Westside, it’s part of her job to dress up, get in, and do everything her boss says.Penny learned this because Penny is a fast learner. And if she’s on her best behavior, maybe she won’t end up on the street looking for another job. Because as he said, she’s not like the other girls. And he has no reason to lie. Does he?
Jude & Penny made such a sweet couple. Jude was an alpha male all the way, and Penny was sweet, innocent, and eager to please. Watching them navigate their relationship was sexy and steamy.. loved it!.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A great story full of steamy pages, a man that finally found his heart and young woman that knew what she wanted. I loved the pull and push between these characters and even when it was almost lost, they came back to each other again.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really like the workplace romances. So this book checked all the boxes. Steamy hot scenes, angst and at last HEA. Jude has a penchant for firing his secretaries as fast as they come through the doors but when his new secretary arrives he knows she is the perfect pet for him. These books are kind of hit or miss. It’s a shame that the first meeting between the two main characters had this one losing stars. It could have been so much better without “hello, get on your knees”.
Ms. Rose did a good job with this book. It held my attention from start to finish. Looking forward to the next book.
I have read a bunch of books from this auther. This one was terrible. The story just had nothing to it. Better luck next time.
