The Pact By Max Monroe
Book/Novel Author: Max Monroe
Book/Novel Title: The Pact
“I need a ride,” I said to a sexy stranger on a Harley.Three hours later? A six-foot-tall Marilyn Monroe was officiating our Vegas wedding at the Happy Chapel. But it’s not love—it’s business—a marriage pact made out of desperation so my career doesn’t go up in flames.Sure, Flynn Winslow is a hot, broody, mysterious man that women all over the globe would sell their souls to land for real, but I have my eyes on the prize and our marriage arrangement will end in three months with no strings attached.Right?Or will it all go out the window when I have to move in with Mr. Mysterious and our fake marriage starts to feel remarkably real?I wish it were as easy as telling myself, Do not fall in love with your fake husband, Daisy, but apparently, when feelings get involved, not everything that happens in Vegas knows how to stay in Vegas.
Jump on the back of a big blue eyed silent-types motorcycle and don’t stop talking his ear off until he kisses you quiet. Yup. I’m all in!
Lots of sex, lots of dirty talk, and major doses of silly. This love story of Flynn and Daisy and the whole Winslow crew seemed a little over the top for me
This is apparently the second book in the Winslow brothers series, as the wedding of Jude was part of the plot, but I read as a standalone and it worked okay. Some hot times & humor. I did feel the humor was sometimes over-the-top/ forced, so found myself skimming some of the “funny parts”, but I did still find the overall book enjoyable. Flynn is the taciturn, poorly understood hero while is Daisy the anxious but bubbly and talkative gal in need of a rescue. A green card fake marriage & sexy times ensue. Flynn was very appealing, which was able to counter some of my “humor” issues.
I absolutely loved reading this book. I couldn’t put it down! Daisy was a fantastically described main character. She was hilarious and flighty and I loved every part of her personality. And how could a reader not fall in love with Flynn?! The fact that he was a mystery man of few words made them the perfect pair. I tried not to let a few tears fall reading the last couple of pages but couldn’t help it. The ending was so perfect. Looking forward to reading another. 🙂
What a freaking ride I was just on. I freaking devoured this book in one setting! I loved how Flynn and Dais met to start with and how they wound up but the ending I’m literally crying. Thank you guys so much for this book!
Great story and written very well. My first time reading Max Monroe and will definitely be reading more. I’llfollow up reading more of the stories on the Winslow brothers for sure. Loved the humor too. Laughed out loud a lot!
