Twisted Games By Elena Lawson
Book/Novel Author: Elena Lawson
Book/Novel Title: Twisted Games
Favors and debts. Blood and sacrifice. The good and the bad. I can’t have some and not the rest.I can’t have it all. This place and these men have seeped into me, and not even my blades can cut them out. But Rook, Corvus, and Grey aren’t the only ones keeping me up at night. There’s Diesel St. Crow, an imminent gang war, and an anonymous shadow from my past. Each one clinging to my bones as irrevocably as my own shadow. Any of them could be the end of me unless I do something about it.It’s time for me to show them I’m not a toy to be played with. I’m not just Ava Jade Mason anymore. I am Sparrow. I am Ghost. I am motherf*cking AJ. I am the queen they’ve all been waiting for.And what do queens do?It’s time for some new rules in Thorn Valley, and I’m going to be the one making them.Twisted Games is book three in the Boys of Briar Hall series and should be read after Wicked Trials. It’s a reverse harem romance, meaning the main character will have more than one love interest and she will not have to choose between them.Warning: This series contains foul language, graphic depictions of gang violence, references to past trauma, and jealous/possessive themes. Please read responsibly.
30 minutes after finishing this book and my heart is still pounding and I am still reeling.Bring on the 4th book!Loving this series! It is dark though … it is gritty and feels realistic most of the time.I read a story like a movie in my head. This is excellently written so the movie plays out fantastically in my mind.I know that there is going to be a HEA but can’t help wondering how these characters are going to get there … though it seems like a long shot right now maybe they will get their version of it.Although I am VERY disappointed in Corvus right now. He has a lot of ‘fixing it’ to do. Sparrow, you had best make him work HARD for it.
I’m really liking this series the female main character is tough and smart the males are broken messes that live her deeply
Well let me just say I am shooketh in the best and worst of ways. Elena Lawson gave me some things at me I’ve been begging for. But, then she threw some things I never saw coming that had me screaming out loud and clutching my chest in shock. I need that final book like yesterday!
This series just keeps getting better and better. I love the relationships between AJ, Corvus, Grey and Rook. This one picks up right where the previous one left off. AJ is trying to figure out what she is going to do and those boys aren’t letting her just run away. They are fighting for her.Their chemistry is off the charts. I love that she has just has much darkness as Rook. She fits so well with each of them and I think that’s a testament to the author’s writing. In this one we see AJ delve further into the Saints. She’s not quite belonging but not quite outcast. That ending left me reeling. I cannot believe that happened. I need the conclusion to this series ASAP.
I read many of the reviews for Book 1 and wasn’t sure if I’d like the series, I have to say the one to three star reviews were dead wrong. I haven’t read this author before so it was a 50/50 gamble. Mad genius! Characters that were flawed yet, perfect. Each character was engaging and I couldn’t pick a favorite. Which is odd for me. Sure, there were a few typos and some spots that lagged but overall….I wouldn’t deduct a star for it. The only issue I have is waiting for Book 4. August seems a lifetime away.
